Boise Bound

Hakuna Matata Everyone!

Life has still been crazy! We had an awesome Memorial weekend. A much needed "unofficial" get-away.  The reason I say unofficial is because we took a trip up to Boise Idaho with Ian's parents and the kid (Franklin). It was a blast! But the purpose for our weekend vacation, was to find an apartment. So even though we enjoyed ourselves immensely, it was wedding work away from home.

"WHAT!? You are moving to Boise Idaho!?" you say? Yes indeedy. This adventure will not take place until middle of July. So we get to enjoy your company just a wee bit longer.

Ian accepted a job offer to work for Walgreen's UP there. (I have to emphasize the UP since Ian always makes fun of me. For some reason my brain cannot grasp the concept of directions. I always say the opposite of where a place is located. I.E. "Let's head up to Lake Powell." or "We are going down to Boise for the weekend."... love me anyway babe, love me anyway.)

But even though I found myself grinding my teeth in jealousy at all the boating and camping photos everyone seemed to be posting about from their amazing weekend, I still found myself absolutely excited about moving! Boise is an incredible place!

"For reals Taylynn?... All it has is potatoes and cows."

For all you nay sayers...FALSE! It is much more than rootin-tootin cowboys and an endless supply of french fries.

We walked around Boise for 3 days, and this is what we found.

and

We also had some good old fashion family time.....

Anyway, if you are ever headed in that direction, (probably UP, if you live in Salt Lake and not til after July) drop us a line. Us Borovatz can show you a good time. Just ask Franklin. He's lived with us for about a month and a half now, so he's practically a pro.

If you are a Boise State fan, don't even think about it. I had to promise Ian I wouldn't be wearing orange and blue simultaneously in case people asked questions.

"I hope I am not a tourist attraction - I'm sure that they come here really because Boise Idaho is just amazing, a beautiful place." -Prince William

(Said quote has definitely NOT been altered.)

Count Down Has Begun!

Hidey Ho Neighbors.... (Shout out to Wilson from "Home Improvement" for those of you who live under a rock.)

These past weeks have FLOWN by! Can you believe it is only 27 days til the big day!? I think I just lost control of my bladder... Typing it out makes it that much more real! WOO HOO!

Anyways, enough about my control issues, lets talk about what has been going on lately.

Dress bought- check
Photographer- check
Temple scheduled-check
Honeymoon scheduled-check
Ian's surgery-check... Wait, what?

No need to worry, Ian had a minor fixer and he will be up and attum' in no time. He is that good.

I had an awesome bridal shower thrown by my amazing mother and sisters last Saturday. It was a blast! Thank you all who came and for the many gifts! (We definitely needed them)

So blessed!

I will NEVER be cooking pancakes on this. (Story to be told another time) But hey, I can totally rock out some amazing french toast!

Bow Chica Bow-Wow!

But even with busy wedding planning schedules we have still tried to maintain sanity by the occasional date night.

And of course, bugging the cutie we call Franklin aka "Frank" (I wont lie, when he is a little jerk, I may call him Frankenstein or expletives I shall not repeat.)

He is asleep, I shiz you not. (What a creeper)

Well, thanks for checking in everyone! We'll continue to keep you posted!

One more thing before I go...

At church on Sunday I was bestowed this little jewel of a quote from Jeffery R. Holland. I think once you read it, you'll understand why it is so amazing...

"You can change anything you want to change and you can do it very fast. That's another Satanic sucker-punch -- that it takes years and years and eons of eternity to repent. It takes exactly as long to repent as it takes you to say 'I'll change'-- and mean it. Of course there will be problems to work out and restitution's to make. You may well spend-- indeed you had better spend -- the rest of your life proving your repentance by its permanence. But change, growth, renewal, repentance can come for you as instantaneously as it did for Alma and the Sons of Mosiah."

Satanic sucker-punch.....you're welcome.

Ode to Us

Howdy Ho family and friends!

Wedding plans are going great so far. A 2 month engagement is not a lot of time, but we have definitely been blessed and things have been coming together nicely.

I haven't received the pictures of our engagement quite yet, but I promise to post as soon as I do. (And of course the story.)

In the mean time, here is a collage of us! You're welcome.

T minus 52 days until I am Mrs. Taylynn Borovatz. Has a nice ring to it don't it? (Heaven help the person who ever has to spell it. Good freaking luck.)

Mutual Weirdness

Welcome to the wonderful world of blogging!

Notice, I welcomed myself due to the fact that it's always nice to be welcomed somewhere you have never ventured before.

This blog's main purpose will be to keep my family and friends updated on the lives of me and my honey! (The good looking man I get to call my Fiance).  Ian is a soon to be pharmacy graduate from USN (Rosemond University). I know, I am a lucky gal. Good looking AND smart!

I had never thought of writing a blog before, but why would I? Being a single lady, living the not so high live, blogging was never something I thought would be important enough to do. But then of course, things in life change, like they are bound to do, and I find myself engaged to the previously talked about stud and about to depart on a new adventure in life.  So why not keep up a blog where I can allow people to keep in touch and my mother to keep tabs? (Love you mom!)

So let's start at the beginning. Or rather should I start with, "Once upon a time..."

Ian and I met at a LDS single's ward.... don't laugh. Those things work! Example A.....

I think this was the earliest photo taken of us. (12-2008)

We dated off and on (mostly on) for about 5 years and Whaa Laa! What do you know, my man put some bling on my fing!

Of course, that story will have to be a post all in it's own. (Don't you hate the "To be continued..." posts? Looks like I'm joining THAT group.)

We are so excited to take the huge step, but how great is life without someone to share it with?

"We are all a little weird and life's a little weird, And when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall in mutual weirdness and call it love" - Dr. Seuss
